On the afternoon of December 19th, the Second General Membership Meeting of the First TUT Alumni Association was successfully held in the Lecture Hall of the TUT Library.Liu Dongzhi, Du Changyou, Zhang Jidong, and Chen Shengyong from the university administration attended the meeting.The head of the alumni association, middle-level cadres, and alumni representatives, totaling over 260 people, participated. Some alumni watched the event online via live stream. The meeting was presided over by Lu Junrui, Chairman of the Alumni Association Council.

Du Changyou, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee, delivered a report on the main achievements in the university’s construction and development. He provided a detailed account of the university’s efforts in fostering virtue and nurturing talents, deepening education and teaching reforms, implementing the talent-strengthening strategy, continuously boosting scientific research vitality, and actively engaging in international exchanges and cooperation.

The head of the alumni association presented the “Alumni Work Report for 2019-2020.” The Secretary-General of the alumni association explained the proposed additional council members. The meeting voted to approve both the alumni work report and the list of additional council members.

The successful convening of this membership meeting consolidated the strength of the alumni and enhanced their bonds, fully demonstrating the stable and rapid development of TUT’s alumni work.

Prior to the general meeting, the second standing council meeting of the TUT Tianjin Alumni Association reviewed and approved the agenda for the second membership representative assembly, the annual alumni work report, the candidate list for additional council members, the alumni association’s financial regulations, and relevant matters concerning to the establishment of the Alumni Entrepreneurs Alliance.
