From June 24th to 26th, the 16th Annual Meeting of the New Champions, also known as the Summer Davos Forum, was held in Tianjin. During the forum, 70 volunteers from TUT successfully completed their tasks, providing warm services and solid support for the successful operation of the event.

Before the event, all volunteers completed comprehensive training on the forum's overview, diplomatic etiquette, volunteer skills and disciplinary norms. During preparations, they mastered event procedures, venue layouts and routing. This professional training fully prepared them to support this international gathering.

Forty volunteers served as transportation assistants at key locations including shuttle pick-up points at registration areas, the main venue square, and major forum venues and surrounding transport hubs. With sincere smiles, accurate directions, fluent international communication, and attentive care, they provided transportation information and shuttle services for Chinese and international guests. Another thirty volunteers worked at the“Culture Night”gala, being responsible for preparing supplies and managing stage props. Through repeated rehearsals, they ensured the smooth execution of the“Culture Night”event behind the scenes, helping to showcase Tianjin culture and Chinese culture to participants from all around the world.

As a crucial global platform for exchange, the Summer Davos Forum serves as a significant social and international chance for young university volunteers to gain experience and grow. Throughout their service, all volunteers not only enhance their organizational, coordination, and international communication skills but also broaden their horizons, demonstrating the vibrant image of Tianjin’s young university students.

In recent years, TUT youth volunteers have been active participants in major events such as the Davos Forum and the World Intelligence Expo 2024. Moving forward, the university remains committed to its fundamental task of fostering virtue and nurturing talents, guiding its students to inspire morale and pool strength with high spirits. By leveraging volunteer services to contribute to broader development goals, the university encourages young students to practice the volunteer spirit of“dedication, friendship, mutual aid, and progress”in practice. It aims to let youth shine brightly in the vivid practice of serving society, using concrete actions to show the responsibilities and commitments of TUT people in the new era.
