Themed on "To the Dream pursuers in the prime of life", the TUT academic opening ceremony for the Class of 2025 was held on September 17 at the stadium presided by Ye Ning, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President. The TUT President Lian Jijian, together with other leaders such as Xu Rui, Chen Shengyong, Ye Ning, Wang Tie, Feng Hua, and Su Ronghua attended the ceremony. Also at the ceremony were key officials from relevant departments, colleges, and research institutes, along with faculty and student representatives.

The opening ceremony commenced with the solemn strains of the national anthem. During the ceremony, university leaders presented school badges to representatives of the incoming class. Upon wearing the school badges, all new students share in their joy of becoming members of Tianjin University of Technology.

Zhao Yiduo, representative of the undergraduate freshmen class, School of Integrated Circuit Science and Engineering, delivered a speech.

Representative of the new graduate students, Liu Hui from the School of Computer Science and Engineering, delivered a speech.

Student Representative Jiang Xusen, Class of 2022, School of Management, delivered a speech.

Faculty Representative Zhang Siwen, Professor of the School of Science, delivered a speech.

Amidst the stirring melody and inspiring lyrics of the university anthem Ode to Tianjin University of Technology, the opening ceremony for Tianjin University of Technology's Class of 2025 concluded successfully. Guided by Tianjin University of Technology ethos, over 8,000 new members of Tianjin University of Technology will set sail with youth as their wind and ideals as their oars, forging ahead with courage in the surging tide of our era. They will wield the pen of innovation to write their answers for the new age.
