
On September 22, the“Tianli Cup”Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (2025) Championship and the Launch Ceremony of the“Tianli Cup”Competition (2026) were successfully held at the University Activity Center Theater. University leaders Lian Jijian, Xu Rui, Chen Shengyong, Ye Ning, Wang Tie, Feng Hua, and Su Ronghua attended the event. Over 1,000 participants, including key personnel from relevant functional departments, colleges, research institutes, and faculty and student representatives, took part in the event.

At the outset of the event, Lian Jijian, the Party Secretary and President of the University, extended congratulations to the participating teams and his sincere thanks to all the faculty members. He emphasized that the “Tianli Cup” competition is not only a platform for the convergence of youth and technology but also an accelerator for teachers and students to build and realize their dreams. Each year, over a thousand projects are cultivated, and many excellent projects from the Tianli Cup move on to higher platforms. He expressed three key expectations for all students: First, Get actively involved in practical training and competitions, such as “Seeking Truth and Innovation Micro-Major,” “the National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition,” and “Challenge Cup,” which will help strengthen their convictions and cultivate their character; Second, maintain intense focus, revisiting, experimenting, and verifying academic challenges repeatedly, keeping a long-term and pure focus, adhering to “long-termism,” and realizing dreams step by step; Third, promote unity and cooperation, breaking down “scientific barriers” through collaboration and cultivating an inclusive mindset. Finally, he encouraged all students to carry forward the university’s motto of “Valuing Virtue and Capacity, Pursuing Truth and Innovation”, and to practice the Tianli character of “Standing on Virtue, Aspiring to Competence, Achieving through Practice, and Thriving in Innovation”, growing into innovative talents with a sense of national responsibility, professional expertise, and a commitment to the times.


The seven teams competing in the championship focused on addressing industry challenges in fields such as low-altitude economy, artificial intelligence, and ecological environment. They delivered excellent presentations covering aspects such as project overview, technical products, market analysis, and business models. The judges engaged with the teams, discussing project product and service, sustainability, and other aspects. After intense competition, the Gold Award went to the projects: “Crystalization of Excellence: Leading Domestic Lanthanum Bromide Crystal Preparation” from the School of Materials Science and Engineering and “‘Practical Ideology’ Educators’ Pioneers: A Study on Strategies to Enhance Quality and Effectiveness of Ideological and Political Courses Based on the CIPP Model” from School of Marxism. The Silver Award went to “Smart Cable Navigation: Civil Aircraft Cable Layout Quality Evaluation System Based on 3D Scanning Reconstruction Technology” from the School of Computer Science and Engineering and “Swift and Agile: High-Speed Low-Vibration Sorting Robot Creators” from the School of Mechanical Engineering. The Bronze Award went to the projects: “Jade-Pure Magic Cube:The Leader in Next-Generation Sewage Denitrification and Carbon Removal Technology” from the School of Environmental Science and Safety Engineering,“Breaking Communication Barriers: Intelligent Sign Language Bi-directional Translation System” from the Technical College for the Deaf, and “Dream Boat Together: Integrated Urban Safety Governance System Based on New Folding Backpack Airbag Boat” from the School of Management. These projects showcased the innovative spirit and aspirations of Tianli youth, demonstrating their commitment to pioneering scientific and technological innovation to drive the development of new forms of productive forces.

University leaders awarded certificates to the winning projects and outstanding organizing units of this year’s“Tianli Cup”competition, encouraging them to continue their efforts and strive for further success.

The event featured a distinct theme, a lively atmosphere, and intense competition, showcasing the rich achievements of Tianli’s innovative entrepreneurship education while also highlighting the enthusiasm and creativity of Tianli students. It marked an important milestone for the incoming class of 2025, opening a new chapter in their university life.

The “Tianli Cup” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (2025) attracted 1,012 projects from nearly 10,000 faculty and students. During the competition, more than 100 innovative and entrepreneurial activities were held, resulting in many excellent projects achieving outstanding results in various national competitions.Going forward, the university will continue to uphold its distinctive education system for innovation and entrepreneurship, leveraging the “three-in-one” multiplier effect of education, technology and talent. The university will strengthen the collaborative training mechanism for top-tier innovative and entrepreneurial talents and further deepen the integration of competitions with learning, teaching, and creation, aiming to cultivate more creators and practitioners of new productive forces.
